Detailed itinerary
Day 1, Arusha or Moshi to Serengeti National Park, Scenic Drive and En Route Game Drive

Depending on your location, your safari driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi for a short briefing before departure. You will then begin the drive to Serengeti National Park, which takes about 7 to 8 hours from Arusha and 8 to 9 hours from Moshi. The journey passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering scenic views of highlands, villages and open plains. A stop may be made at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for panoramic views before continuing towards Serengeti. You will have a packed lunch along the way. Wake up early for a full day game drive in Central Serengeti, one of the best areas for wildlife viewing. During the early morning hours, predators are most active, offering good chances to see lions, leopards and cheetahs. You may also see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, buffaloes and hyenas across the plains. You can either return to the lodge for breakfast or continue with a packed breakfast depending on your safari plan. This allows you to cover more ground and follow wildlife movement. In the afternoon, continue with another game drive in search of animals missed earlier.
