After an early breakfast, begin your morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. Morning is one of the best times for wildlife viewing because animals are more active and temperatures are cooler. It is also the best time for clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro, although visibility depends on weather conditions. Amboseli is famous for large elephant herds, often seen moving across the plains or feeding near the wetlands. During the game drive, look out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, antelopes, lions, hyenas and many bird species. The park has open savannah, seasonal wetlands and swamp areas that attract animals throughout the year. These landscapes also make Amboseli one of the best safari destinations in Kenya for photography. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive as wildlife becomes active again in the cooler hours. Continue exploring different parts of the park before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3, Amboseli to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of your lodge or camp and begin your return drive to Nairobi. Enjoy the final views of the Amboseli landscape as you leave the park area. Depending on your schedule, your guide may stop briefly along the way for refreshments or lunch. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel residence or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your 3-day Amboseli budget safari from Nairobi.
