Detailed itinerary
Day 1, Fly from Arusha to Serengeti, Central Serengeti Game Drive
Your safari begins with an early morning transfer to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Seronera Airstrip, located in the wildlife-rich Central Serengeti National Park. The flight departs at around 8 am and arrives approximately one hour later, offering scenic aerial views of northern Tanzania’s plains and landscapes. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, you will meet your professional safari driver guide and begin your first game drive in Central Serengeti. This region is known for its high concentration of wildlife and is one of the best areas in the park for year-round game viewing.

You will explore the Seronera Valley, an area with permanent water sources that attract a wide range of animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and gazelles. There are also good chances of spotting predators such as leopards resting in acacia trees and cheetahs scanning the plains. A packed lunch will be served at a scenic picnic site within the park, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings without interrupting your game viewing experience. In the late afternoon, continue with a relaxed game drive as wildlife becomes more active again before sunset. Later, transfer to your luxury lodge for check-in, followed by dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation Serengeti Serena Lodge or Four Seasons Safari Lodge
Day 2, Full Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti
Start the day early with a sunrise game drive, one of the most rewarding times to explore the Serengeti. During the early hours, predators are highly active, offering excellent chances to see lions on the move, leopards returning from night hunts, and cheetahs scanning the plains for prey. You may also encounter hyenas, jackals, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeests, depending on the season. The cool morning temperatures make wildlife sightings more frequent and more dynamic.

After the morning game drive, return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast. Spend the late morning at leisure, enjoying the lodge surroundings, swimming pool, or views over the Serengeti plains. After lunch at the lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive focusing on areas you may not have covered earlier. This session is ideal for both wildlife viewing and birdwatching. Central Serengeti supports a wide range of bird species, including ostriches, secretary birds, kori bustards, vultures, and martial eagles. As the day cools down, wildlife becomes active again, giving you another opportunity to spot predators and large herbivores across the open plains. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay
Day 3, Morning Game Drive and Fly Back to Arusha
Begin your final day with an early morning tea or coffee before checking out of the lodge. You will then proceed with a short en route game drive towards Seronera Airstrip. This final drive offers another opportunity to spot wildlife in the early morning hours, when animals are still active. Depending on your luck, you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, or other species as you exit the park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, check in for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. The flight provides one last aerial view of the Serengeti plains before landing in Arusha, marking the end of your 3-day Serengeti fly-in luxury safari.
