Kigali connects with Bwindi and Mgahinga through the Cyanika or Katuna/Gatuna borders. Southern Bwindi is approximately 4–5 hours from Kigali by road, depending on the trekking sector and border conditions
Kenya and Tanzania
Nairobi and Arusha can be connected by road through Namanga or by air. Masai Mara–Serengeti journeys may use the Isebania/Sirari border or suitable flight connections; there is no routine tourist crossing directly between the parks.

Flights between regional airports can help connect distant safari circuits. Private road transfers, safari vehicles and local guiding arrangements are then organised around each country's route and operating requirements.
