Your journey begins in Kampala or Entebbe with an early morning transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. On arrival, you join a ranger for a guided walking safari to track southern white rhinos. The experience takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and offers a close view of rhinos in a protected natural setting. After the activity, continue with lunch before driving west towards Kibale Forest National Park. The route passes through rural landscapes and trading centres before reaching the Fort Portal region. Arrival is in the evening, followed by dinner and an overnight stay. Accommodation: Isunga Lodge or Kibale Forest Camp

Day 2, Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest and Bigodi Wetland Walk
After breakfast, transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then enter the forest with guides and trackers to search for a habituated chimpanzee community. The trek usually takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ location. Once found, you are allowed one hour to observe them as they feed, groom, call and move through the forest. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided walk. Bigodi is known for birdlife, monkeys and community-based tourism. During the walk, you may also visit local homes to see coffee preparation and traditional practices. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3, Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions and Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, begin the transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is known for tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in fig trees during the heat of the day. Your guide will conduct a slow game drive through the area to look for lions as well as elephants, buffalo, and antelopes. After the game drive, continue south towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrival is in the evening, followed by dinner and an overnight stay. Accommodation: Buhoma Community Haven Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp

Day 4, Bwindi Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for the gorilla trekking briefing. You will be assigned a gorilla family and guided into the forest by rangers and trackers. The trek can take a few hours, depending on terrain and the location of the gorillas. Once found, you spend one hour observing the gorillas. You may see a silverback, mothers with infants and younger gorillas interacting within the group. In the afternoon, take part in the Batwa cultural experience near Bwindi. This activity introduces traditional forest life, storytelling, music and survival skills of the Batwa community. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
